Komeno Corfu

KOMENO BAY Corfu has virtually been taken over by hotel complexes in the area known as Cape Komeno. Komeno It sits on the northern side of the Gulf of Gouvia with views south to Corfu Town about 12km away.
Komeno has the small church of Ypapanti situated on a small islet that is linked with the rest of the island by a narrow strip of land. Komeno is mostly hotel land though, with massive complexes offering rooms to let and small bungalows all around the coastline.
The village of Komeno is located at the head of the cape and there are plenty of seafront tavernas, restaurants and snack bars to enjoy.
Some swimming is possible in the small beach coves that can be found all around the Komeno headland but most swimming here is done in hotel pools. The Komeno beaches are rock and stone and not particularly attractive.
