Greek island holidays | Ladiko Rhodes

Just south of Faliraki on the east coast and about 15km from Rhodes Town is the village of Ladhiko or Ladiko and below it a small beach of fine sand and pebble with small rocks in a sheltered, horseshoe-shaped bay.
It used to be little visited but has recently become very popular with Greeks and Italians and now its full of tourist facilities like sun beds that spread all round the shore and over the rocks. There are now showers here and a small taverna to supply the basics. There are steep cliffs all around so the beach tends to get a lot of shade.
The beach and cliffs were used for location filming on the war movie The Guns of Navarone and one of its stars Anthony Quinn bought a holiday home near here, earning the bay the nickname Anthony 'Queen' bay. It's a popular portof call for caiques from Rhodes Town on tourist day trips.
Another small sandy bay can be found a few minutes walk tothe south with a small tavernas and a sand and pebble beach.
