Pserimos near Kos

PSERIMOS is a small islet north of Kos between Kos and Kalymnos, about 6 nautical miles north of Kos. It's a favourite target of day cruise boats thanks mainly to a single huge, sandy beach set in an enclosed and sheltered bay.
Pserimos is supplied by a daily ferry from Pothia on Kalymnos but most visitors are those arriving from Kos on sea cruise boats. The bay is very beautiful, enclosed by a long split of land where the cruise boats pull in. The end of the bay is one long and deep sandy beach, backed by several tavernas and some apartments and homes offering rooms.
The islet is only about 15 sq km and permanent residents number less than 100, mostly involved in fishing and tourism. There are a few other more beaches to be found by walking the island paths but they are small and have no facilities.
