Pserimos Kos

PSERIMOS is a small islet north of Kos, between Kos and Kalymnos, about six nautical miles north of Kos.
Pserimos is a favourite target of day cruise boats thanks mainly to a single huge, sandy beach set in an enclosed and sheltered bay.
Pserimos is supplied by a daily ferry from Pothia, on Kalymnos, but most visitors are those arriving from Kos on daily sea cruise boats that pull into the large and sheltered bay.
Pserimos bay is very beautiful, enclosed by a long split of land where the cruise boats tie up. The end of the bay is one long and deep sandy beach, backed by several tavernas and a few apartments and dhomatia.
Pserimos islet is only about 15 sq km and its permanent residents number less than 100, most of them involved in fishing and tourism.
Tracks lead all over the islet and there are a few more secluded beaches and coves to be found by walking the island paths but they are small, have no facilities and are usually choked with flotsam and debris.
