Sivota Lefkas

SIVOTA is a picturesque fishing port in southeast Lefkas about 33km from Lefkas Town. The village is at the head of a deep bay well protected by long sweep of hills that curves around the cove the create a small entrance to the Ionian Sea.
Sivota is a big favourite with the yachting crowd, thanks to its sheltered anchorage, and is very quiet during daylight hours but livens up at nighttime when the boats tie up.
Sivota has stone quays on three sides and a new pontoon to the south-east so there is no shortage of berths. Sivota is also home to sailing holidays company and so the bay gets busier than usual at the weekends as the flotillas was goodbye to crews leaving and welcomes new arrivals.
Sivota is also the finish point for the annual South Ionian Regatta at the end of September so the bay gets chock-a-bloc with boats and the local tavernas get to host the post-regatta parties. There is no shortage of waterfront tavernas and cafes that line the quays all around Sivota.
Sivota village has three minimarkets along the west quay all of which are well stocked with provisions for the yacht crews. The village has traditional stone-built houses and there is a small, secluded stony beach on the opposite side of the bay.
