Sivota Lefkas review & map

The charming harbour at Sivota is located at the end of a deep bay that lies about 33 km south-east of the capital at Lefkas Town

This picturesque fishing port is enclosed by a circle of hills that curve right around the bay leaving a narrow entrance from the Ionian Sea.

The sheltered anchorage and attractive surroundings makes Sivota a very popular mooring for yacht flotillas as well as a target for many day trip visitors.

Plenty of quayside tavernas and village cafes has sprung up to cater for daily visitors and there are several small mini-markets to supply provisions for yacht crews.

Sivota is a very pretty village with many traditional stone-built houses and for those staying here on holidays there is a small stony on one side of the bay.

But the village is best known as a yacht and boating centre with a very long quay and plenty of berths for the yacht flotillas that sail into the harbour most evenings.

Sivota is also a base for several sailing holiday firms and the finish line for the popular annual South Ionian Regatta, which is held at the end of September.

The resort is usually very quiet during the day but will livens up at nighttime when the bay is often crammed with yachts and the tavernas crammed with yacht crews.
