AGIA ANNA is a small, but popular west-facing beach, with a traditional fish taverna and a decent restaurant located on the south coast to the south of Mykonos Town.
Both west-facing and with hills behind and to the north Agia Anna is a well sheltered from the northerly meltemi winds. Don't confuse the beach with one of the same name to the east near Kalafatis. This one is near Paraga and Platis Yialos.
Agia Anna has a deep beach of sharp sand that shelves quite steeply into the sea where there are rock slabs and quite a bit of offshore seaweed.
Bamboo wattle fencing has been erected behind for added protection and there are sun beds and umbrellas available for rent at the northern end of the beach where the small red-roofed chapel sits.
The south end of Agia Anna beach has a small car park and a jetty for the boats to pull in. Just beyond that is a footpath that leads up over the headland to Platis Yialos.
If you head south along one of several dirt tracks you soon reach the popular Paraga beach, which is just five minutes away.
