Paxos or Paxi is a small island - just 10km long and 4km wide with just three main resorts. Being so small it is a fine walking island with lots of tracks. Endless olive groves seem to stretch everywhere, many terraced within stone walls and planted during Venetian times. There are still scores of old stone olive-presses to be seen. The best walks are around Lakka and the road from Gaios to Loggos is particularly good.
