Not to be confused with the same-name beach to the east of Samos, this Psili Amos is a beach of two halves. The eastern end is covered in smooth white stones while the western end is pure sand. Access is from a road above down a steep track. There is a taverna on the road above and an attractive breakfast bar with pool about half way down the hillside.
It's a long walk to the sandy area which is small and soon fills up. Once a favourite of nudists it has grown more popular with families now and makes a good alternative to the flat sands at Kambos. The sea is shallow and sandy underfoot - fine for children. Though not too far from Kambos it is too long to walk and a taxi is recommended. The driver will pick you up at a fixed time or you can phone from the taverna.
