Skiathos Greece photo gallery by Jeremy Kell

Despite having turned into a major holiday destination there are still some areas of Skiathos that have escaped the tourist influx. The south coast beaches are now very much developed with hotels and apartments, sunbeds and the usual watersports. The north coast remains pretty much unspoiled and some beaches such as Lalaria can still only be reached by boat. The Mandraki area was once too isolated to have many visitors but now has a steady stream, although nowhere near as many as the southern beaches. If you are prepared to wander along coastal tracks ot take a jeep over the forest tracks you will still find remote inlets and unspoiled beaches.
