TSAMADOU beach is located about 3km just to the west of Kokkari and about 12km from Samos Town. Access to Kokkari beach is down a steep wooded pathway abut 200m from the main Kokkari to Karlovassi road.
There is a large sign by the roadside on the headland to mark the path to the beach and there is some space to park by the roadside under the pine trees.
The path to the beach is good and well-made but it is very steep in places so Tsamadou is not a beach for those with walking difficulties.
Tsamadou is the only official nudist beach on Samos and the naturists tend to stick to the eastern end of the shore.
Tsamadou beach is about 400m long and is mainly composed of white pebble and shingle. There is a sharp drop into the sea so, apart from the nudity, this is not the first choice beach for families with young children.
The water is reasonably shallow enough after the initial steep drop along the shoreline but, on windy days there can be quite a large swell and the waves can come crashing in on the shore.
A beach cantina opens in the summer and there is a pleasant taverna on the hillside overlooking the western end of Tsamadou beach. Sunbeds and umbrellas are for hire and there are two fresh water showers near the taverna.
There are regular buses to Tsamadou beach, passing by on the Kokkari Karlovassi road above the beach - about ten daily in the summer.
